As you prepare to land in Argentina, ATEG INTL. is here to ensure your arrival is as seamless and stress-free as possible. This guide will walk you through the steps upon landing and how your trusted ATEG chauffeur will be ready to greet you.
It’s important to know that the Buenos Aires metropolitan area has three international airports:
- Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE), Ezeiza: This is the largest and most common entry point for long-haul international flights.
- Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP), Buenos Aires: Primarily handles domestic flights and some regional international flights. It’s located much closer to the city center of Buenos Aires.
- San Fernando International Airport (FDO), San Fernando: While primarily a general aviation airport, it does handle private international flights.
Your Arrival Journey: Step-by-Step
Here’s what you can expect after your international flight lands in Argentina:
- Arrival at the Gate:
Once your plane lands, it will taxi to the designated arrival area. Follow the signs for “Arribos” (Arrivals) or “Conexiones” (Connections), depending on your next steps.
- Immigration Control (Only for International Flights):
If you’ve arrived on an international flight, your next stop is “Migraciones” (Immigration). Here, you’ll present your passport, any required visas, and your flight ticket to the immigration officer for verification.
- Baggage Claim:
After passing through immigration, proceed to the “Retiro de Equipaje” (Baggage Claim) area. Check the monitors for your flight number to find the carousel where your luggage will arrive. Collect your belongings.
- Customs Control (Only for International Flights):
Following baggage claim, you’ll go through “Aduana” (Customs). You may need to declare any goods you are bringing into the country. Be prepared to have your luggage inspected.
- Meeting Your ATEG INTL. Chauffeur:
After clearing customs, you will enter the arrivals reception hall, where your professional chauffeur will be waiting for you with a signboard clearly displaying your name.
- Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza – EZE)
- At Ezeiza, passenger waiting primarily takes place in the designated area for passenger pick-up: Arrivals Hall, after Customs, not in the baggage claim area. This zone is clearly signposted.
Communicate with Your Chauffeur (if necessary): Your chauffeur will likely be in contact with you. However, if needed, you can also call or message your ATEG chauffeur to let them know you have exited the arrivals area.
- Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP)
Exit the Arrivals Area: After collecting your luggage and clearing any necessary checks, please exit the main arrivals area of Aeroparque.
Communicate with Your Chauffeur (If Necessary): Your chauffeur will likely be in contact with you. However, if needed, you can also call or message your ATEG chauffeur to let them know you have exited the arrivals area. They will direct you to their exact location at Stop C3.
Look for your chauffeur at Stop C3 on the airport roadway near the South Parking. They will be holding a signboard with your name. They will then assist you with your luggage and escort you to your vehicle.
For a More Seamless Experience: VIP Assistance
- Fast Pass/VIP Assistance for Expedited Airport Procedures at Ezeiza and Aeroparque
To expedite your security and boarding procedures at Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza) and Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, you can access the Fast Pass service.
At Ezeiza, this service is available for international flights, while at Aeroparque, it is for domestic flights.
Reservations for the Fast Pass can be made up to 48 hours prior to your flight through the Aeropuertos Argentina Online Store (https://bit.ly/42ILB1Z). This can significantly streamline your airport experience.
Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) vs. Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP)
It’s helpful to understand the key differences between Buenos Aires’ two main international airports:
- Ezeiza (EZE): Located about 30 kilometers (19 miles) southwest of downtown Buenos Aires. It primarily handles long-haul international flights from Europe, North America, Asia, and other distant locations. The arrival process, as described above, is standard here. Your ATEG chauffeur will meet you in the designated passenger waiting area after you clear customs.
- Aeroparque (AEP): Situated much closer to the city center, along the Río de la Plata. Aeroparque mainly handles domestic flights within Argentina and some regional international flights (to neighboring South American countries). The arrival process is similar to Ezeiza, but the airport is smaller and often less crowded for international arrivals. Your ATEG chauffeur will also meet you in the designated passenger waiting area here.
Arriving at San Fernando International Airport (FDO)
If your travel brings you to the San Fernando International Airport (FDO), a private airport in the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires, the arrival process is generally more streamlined due to the nature of private aviation.
Your ATEG INTL. chauffeur will be informed of your arrival details and will be ready to meet you at the designated area for private jet arrivals. We will coordinate closely with your flight operator to ensure a smooth transition from the aircraft to your vehicle.
At ATEG INTL., your comfort and convenience are our top priorities. We are dedicated to providing you with a reliable and stress-free transportation experience from the moment you land in Argentina.
We look forward to welcoming you to Argentina! ¡Buen viaje!
